LONG Description
I have limited availability at this time, with one or two appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.
I work with individual adults to figure out why things feel challenging, especially those who may be outside the mainstream in terms of identity - things like gender, race, disability, sexual or romantic interests.
In clinical terms, I bring a psychodynamic approach based on attachment and attunement with a light somatic focus.
Big transitions, fear of change, and feeling stuck are my specialty! This like major losses including pet loss or loss of pregnancy or terminating, relationships ending (or starting!), going back to school or graduating, anxiety from everything happening like climate doom and finances and politics, and all forms of anxiety and depression. I also have experience with certain less-common experiences such as DID and misophonia.
I am interested in working with those who are queer, trans, genderfluid, nb, and those in non-heteronormative romantic and sexual relationships such as bi, pan, poly, open, and other non-monagamous connections, kink or fetish, and other ways of expression.
Who you are matters so much to me, because it affects your experiences in the world. I am white, and have learned a lot about bringing sensitivity to understand clients based on culture and identity. I have supported activists, advocates, and organizers and understand the specific stress that goes into trying to change the world. I have a PhD with a clinical focus on antiracism and social justice.
I have special training to work with you on Zoom and it's an excellent option for this type of therapy. I take some insurance, or if you are paying out of pocket, we will discuss a rate that is affordable for you to engage in this work regularly.
